Actually we have wild garlic growing in the garden, in the yard,
in the lawn, on the driveway everywhere- even between the rocks!
We almost have more garlic than we have rocks, but that's a story
for at least another couple of pages (I build rock walls).Everywhere you look at Waldo we have wild garlic growing, it's been there since way before we have. Through the years we've picked it, pulled it, pruned it, but it's still there. Not that we don't love garlic we can eat it on almost every kind of food, but wild garlic never really matures unless you cultivate it properly. And don't forget the chives that grow all over the lawn, but they give off a great aroma when I mow. But anyhoot, stay tuned to these pages to find out what else will be comin' up in the Waldo Garden this year.
You know I used to like snow, but here it is the middle of April and we just got almost a foot of it. All within three days, no not that pretty fluffy white stuff. Wet heavy clumpy grey snow. When I wrote the above (only last week) Waldo Gardens was bathing in sunny warm weather. Now the bloomin' flowers are all crushed and hidden from view.
Mother Nature wasn't happy with providing the most snow on record this winter before this week. Around these parts anyway . . . Oh I could go on, but it's late and my arm hurts from shoveling--- spring will return, and so will I. (to shovel the dirt)
